Hey everyone! Last week, I had a strange stinging pain immediately after sex. When I went to pee, it burned a little, and I noticed the discomfort was on the side of my labia. I thought it might be irritation from friction, possibly due to a lack of lubrication, so I bought something to soothe it, and that helped a bit.

Today, after a week off from sex due to a fever(irrelevant, I just had a cold) and the lingering stinging pain, my boyfriend and I tried again. When we started, it stung on the sides during insertion. About 20 pumps in, I felt the pain again, but this time it was more on the top rim of my vaginal opening. Afterward, it burned when I peed, bad, so I hopped in the shower and rinsed with hot water, which helped relieve it. I applied some vaginal cream afterward, and the pain isn’t terrible, but it’s still there.

It’s not an STI—I got tested, and so did my boyfriend. Could it be friction, or maybe a UTI? I don’t have any stomach pain, though, so I’m not sure.

Had my bf kinda check down there and he said it looked a little red, but then again, not sure if we both know what we’re looking for?

Need another woman perspective and if you’re a doctor too, that’s even better!
