My wife and I left the bank, she had taken money out and needed to count it as she’s driving (which makes no sense) why couldn’t she have just pulled over and counted it. I volunteered to count it but she was driving really crazy and I was getting distracted, I asked why she needed to count this anyway considering we just got it from the bank and we knew the amount and she said she was anxious and felt she needed to count it. As I’m trying to count she exclaims, “do you not know how to count, gosh you suck ass” i was in shock, what the fuck did I do to deserve all of that? This isn’t the first time this has happened and every time it happens it reinforces my trauma with my father yelling at me about not being able to do things quick enough which is exactly what she did. I’m so hurt rn, I just went silent on her and now she’s mad at me. How do I handle this situation? Forgot to add yes I stood up for myself and told her that was completely unnecessary, but it just turned into an argument hence me just shutting down.
