What did they tell you after IUD insertion?

I had my IUD replaced early to help with hormonal issues. When I got it the first and second time I was told no sex, baths, swimming or anything for 2 weeks after insertion, and then condoms for another 2 weeks until my 1 month check up appointment to make sure it’s in place. I’ve been hearing that’s crazy? So I’m wondering what your drs said if you had an IUD placed.

And yes I followed those orders I didn’t know anyone was told any different and it kinda just made sense to me
