Why does glow say I ovulate the day that I have a positive opk test?

I’m really confused. I thought ovulation happens 12-24 hours after you see LH surge on a test…Wouldn’t I actually be ovulating the day after a positive opk? We’ve been trying for 8 months and I’m trying to do everything I can to pin point my highest chances of conceiving.

Ovulation can happen anywhere from 12/36 from the time you get your peak. However without using BBT you won’t know for sure if you did ovulate as opks only detect a lh surge not ovulation.

With BBT you'd have to start next cycle, it wouldn't tell you anything about your current one. Start from CD 1 & make sure to temp every morning at the same time before getting out of bed. You'll know you ovulated when you see 3 consecutive temps higher than the previous 6.
