Condoms Question

Had an old IUD pulled. Doctor tried to replace it and the cervix wouldn’t let her in. No option for an IUD. So we are tracking my ovulation and my husband has agreed to wear condoms during this time. We have never purchased condoms before. Are there good and bad condoms and are the pleasure ones better? My husband asked me whether I wanted ribbed ones or not. I don’t know. Is it a gimmick or do they honestly improve sensation? Any tips or tricks to using a condom would be appreciated. Are there sizes for different men? My husband is about average in that area. Roughly 6 inches long erect, and the girth of about three fingers maybe a little more. Typically I put them on him, as it kills his erection to have to do it himself. I think I’m doing it right. We have been married 25 years and have never used them. I’m sure I look like an awkward schoolgirl trying to put them on my husband.
