BPP weekly started at 32 weeks?
Hey everyone, I’m currently 25w6d pregnant. I had to have a third anatomy scan this week for baby girl since she was head down at 20 weeks and they couldn’t see any facial structures and at 24 weeks she was moving too much and they couldn’t get her heart vessels. So they referred me to the high risk specialists for the third ultrasound to get the structures they missed due to their machines being more high tech. I had to do this as well with my first daughter.
But I got a call yesterday from my OB that the high risk specialist recommended that I have weekly Biophysical profile testing done starting at 32 weeks. She said they got all the structures they had missed and everything looks normal but this is not something I had done with my daughter so I’m a bit worried they’re not telling me everything and monitoring something they saw. They didn’t tell me when I had a subchorionic hemorrhage at the beginning of my pregnancy that caused pain and bleeding. They told me my indication was high blood pressure but my blood pressure has been normal and good the entire pregnancy and I have not had any indication or preeclampsia. I didn’t have it with my first pregnancy either. I just have this bad feeling there’s something else going on.
Has anyone else had this recommendation and nothing came about it? Or were they monitoring for something? Should I prepare for these in any way?
