11-12dpo BFN, but possible implantation bleeding?

My LH peak was 13 days ago so I’m probably 11 or 12 dpo. My cycles are typically 29-32 days, and it’s CD 28. I took a CB early detection digital with FMU and it was negative. I was counting myself out this cycle.

However, when I was wiping this evening, I had creamy light pink/brown discharge on my tp. Not like early AF spottting, it was more like CM consistency. Plus when AF is coming I almost always have bad cramps the day before with brown watery spotting and clots - which is very different than what I had today. The only other time i had this, I was pregnant (it ended in loss).

Is it crazy to think this could be a later implantation and/or I tested too early?

It seems more likely that it’s spotting from your progesterone starting to fall (leading to your period), but it’s not impossible to be implantation related. While implantation can occur between 6-12 DPO, it most commonly occurs between 8-10 DPO. The later that implantation occurs, the higher risk of miscarriage unfortunately (one study showed a miscarriage rate of >50% at 11 DPO and >80% after that.
