Are you currently working your dream job? 
Or what would you do if you didn’t need the paycheck?
I have worked as a speech-language pathologist for the past 16 years. For the most part I’ve enjoyed my career but do go through periods of burn-out at times. I’ve been discussing possible career change with my husband and he teases me I’m going through midlife crisis. (I recently turned 40 🙃)

Substitute teacher here, I love it because I get to make my own schedule & I absolutely love working with children of all ages. My heart goes to elementary but it can be a bit much at times so I can switch it up and go to middle/high school as well. I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant with a soon to be 2 year old at home so the flexible schedule allows time to focus on my own kiddos.

Clinical therapist. I question my career. It’s very easy to get burnt out helping others with their mental health when you are trying to manage your own.

Im an LPN but I work at a social club for seniors. I help seniors set up their living wills and advanced directives, help them fill out paperwork for Medicare, SS and taxes. I organize transportation for medical and leisure trips, plan parties, and offer health education courses and different clinics. I’m only part time right now so I can spend more time with my kids but i absolutely love my job and the people I work with.

I’m a process designer/procedure writer for all things credit card at a huge US bank. I’m involved in anything and everything from rewards, to system access, to fraud. If it impacts how associates servicing credit card accounts, I’m probably on the project. I’m at the point in my life where I want the highest amount of pay for the least amount of effort and the best work/life balance. I never work over 40 hours. I don’t work nights/weekends/holidays. I can schedule around all my kids stuff, I’m available for literally every game/practice/school events. I don’t have a degree, I work from home, and I put minimal effort into it for about $115k including benefits. I have zero complaints.

Lawyer. I’m a new one and practice in an area that burn out is constant. I’ve been debating going the transaction route where I don’t have to argue with people about why a child who is in 9th grade shouldn’t be reading on a 3rd grade level…..in their school.. . I enjoy being a lawyer just not the specific area of law I practice.

I am a high school teacher and college professor. I love my career and wouldn’t trade it for anything!
