Vaginal health. BV the whole time? Now what?

I was experiencing what I thought was a yeast infection, but ever since using CVS 3 day suppositories to treat it, I’ve started to feel itchier and my discharge has a new odor to it that isn’t just the medicine. It’s only been 2 days out of the 3. I would describe the odor as a “fishy” smell mixed with the medicine smell. Now I’m wondering if it could have been BV the whole time, or if I just need to complete the treatment and see. If it is BV should I stop the treatment. I read that the medicine could make BV worse. Please help. Thanks!
