New to IUDs

Hey y’all! I recently had a Mirena IUD placed on December 23rd during my bariatric surgery. Since about 2 days post op, I have been bleeding steadily and it is starting to get heavier. I’m also having some pretty intense back pain and upper thigh cramping. This evening I started noticing some vaginal pain and stinging. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if I should bring it up to my gynecologist? I have my annual scheduled in February but I don’t know if I should wait that long… thoughts?
