Am I wrong for being upset??
I don’t drive, and my boyfriend is the only one who does. We usually prefer him coming to my apartment for privacy since he has a roommate, though I Uber to him sometimes. I had been asking him to come over for days, and we finally agreed on last night.
Yesterday was gloomy with light drizzle throughout the day, which he mentioned. I got off work around 1 AM and let him know he could start heading over while I showered. He then told me he wasn’t coming because of the weather and assumed I thought the same since I “didn’t mention it all day.”
I was upset—not because he didn’t come, but because he waited until I texted to let me know. Earlier in the day, I told him I was excited to see him, and he said the same, so I felt like I had made it clear he was expected. I went to bed upset, and when I explained why, he called me childish, saying I throw fits when I don’t get my way. The day before, I told him to work on communicating better, so this happening right after added to my frustration.
