Like I’m so confused about what’s wrong with me that’s causing me not to like sex?! I know that I was sexually assaulted as a teenager by my uncle but I don’t think that’s affecting me and I don’t have any trauma. What can I do to begin to enjoy sex? I could go for a year without even wanting sex… I just feel so sorry for my husband

On top of the other suggestions, it’s possible you’re just not with a partner who knows what you like or you’re not sexually compatible with. I’ve had some really unenjoyable sex over the years. Not every key is meant for every lock. I also had this conversation with a friend who never had a good sexual experience with a man, turns out she was a lesbian all along and sex with a woman is what does it for her.

You should have your hormones and thyroid checked. As well as therapy because your assault may be causing issues you don't want to face as a protective measure

There could be things going on with your hormones honestly and maybe some internal trauma that is trying to tell you something. Have you even thought maybe you might be Asexual a term part of the lqbtia’s community. For myself I am asexual I dislike sex but at the same time I don’t as sometimes it just feels as it’s a chore. Are you on any meds that may be affecting your libido? Just some thoughts
