can you breastfeed while pregnant?

im planning on starting to try for baby #2 but my 12m old is still breastfeeding, only 3 feeds a day, morning mid-day and bedtime. 
Does anyone know if it has any effect on the milk you are feeding to your toddler, or if it has an affect on the pregnant/baby? or if weaning while pregnant would cause any issues either??

Breastfeeding during pregnancy is generally considered to be safe and many women do, though the research is actually very limited. I breastfed and even pumped while pregnant with my 3rd because my second was only 8 months old when we conceived. The primary theoretical risks are nutrient depletion of the mother and causing uterine contractions, so higher risk women are generally recommended to avoid it. Other things to consider are that you may find it harder to conceive while breastfeeding (even with regular periods) and may be more uncomfortable when breastfeeding (especially nipple pain). Weaning while pregnant wouldn’t have increased risks.
