Health talk!

Samantha

Right, I was diagnosed with pcos at 13 on the basis on my androgens and testosterone being 3 times the amount they were meant to be for a woman, was then undiagnosed at 18 due to scans on my ovaries being completely fine and healthy as well as, my levels all returned to normal. At 21 I had another scan and blood test in which they found a few little cysts on my ovaries but hormones were still within normal range (so was told it’s definitely pcos), then at 22 (back last August) I had another scan and blood tests in which my hormones were completely normal still and I was told the scans and checks of my ovaries were good, they were healthy and I have no cysts and that it isn’t pcos. Only issue myself and the doctor noticed is that twice my thyroid levels have gone below the average range (was never made aware of this) and I am still very close to below average now by like 0.01unit (also my brother and dad both have overactive/underactive thyroid)

I get hair growth, irregular periods (60+ day cycles), mood swings like maddd, major depressive episodes during my cycle, ovulate more than once during my cycle (doctors are extremely confused but it’s been confirmed), I sweat like mad and am always hot, yet really sensitive to the cold and all the other symptoms you can imagine.

Has anyone been through similar or is there anyone I can speak to about my period life.

TIA ❤️
