Anybody know what this Pap smear result means?

Nobody has called me about my results so I am assuming this isn’t anything to be concerned about, but I am having a bit of anxiety. Can somebody clarify? Thanks!

I imagine the candida is a yeast infection. Your pap is otherwise clear.

This Pap smear result indicates that no abnormal cells suggestive of cancer or precancerous lesions were found on the cervix ("negative for intraepithelial lesion or malignancy") but the test did identify fungal organisms that appear to be Candida species ("Fungal organism morphologically consistent with Candida sp") which could signify a yeast infection; overall, this is considered a normal result with the presence of a common yeast infection.
