Stopping breastfeeding advice

I have stopped breastfeeding my 14.month old, unfortunately it wasnt working when i tried to do this gradually because she just really loves being breastfed and resisted massively. Stopping completely has been a lot smoother than i thought it would be, i told her the milk was all gone and she accepted that. However my breasts are very full and painful and leaking. Does anyone have any advice on when this will improve and ways to dry up my milk quicker?
