With my first at started at 8 dpo and  it was negative, then got a Vvvfl at 9dpo, then at 10 dpo I got my official positive. 
Maybe wait til 10 dpo at least

I would say 10dpo, I got negative at 8dpo and then the positive at 10 dpo

If you are using opks and BBT to track ovulation then id start at 10dpo. 
If you are just using the app then the 11th.
