Allergic

So I just recently got two kittens. They are great. They’re the best animals I’ve ever had but it just come to my attention that I’m allergic to them. The back of my throat gets really itchy my eyes get itchy every once in a while and the back of my nose slightly burns and will get stuffy. Nothing too crazy. The only thing that bothers me is it feels like I’ve had acid reflex in my throat. I absolutely adore them and since I just got them, I definitely don’t wanna get rid of them. Any advice on what I could do that might help me overcome some of these allergies or to make them a little bit easier to manage. I read that there’s some food that you can give them that helps and I do take Benadryl, but they make me sleepy.
