Is getting pregnant in your 40s too late?

I just had a baby 10 months ago I really would like just one more I’m 41 in June people always say I’m too old now. It’s too selfish on me if I had another by the time the baby is this age I’ll be this age bla bla bla…. I don’t think age really matters as long as your fit and well!! All the advice pos anyone who’s had a baby at 40 plus would be great.

You are only too old when you no longer have a period! Don’t let the outside world influence how you feel in your heart. I had my last baby at 39 and am currently TTC almost 44. So long as you’re up for it, I say go for it! 🙂

I’m 42 and I’m 34 weeks pregnant, if God allows you to get pregnant at that age, it perfectly ok. We live in a culture that doesn’t celebrate life. They don’t want anyone having babies nevermind when you are considered “older”. If your body allows go for it. I have had zero issues in this pregnancy, when people a lot younger have more. I have a perfectly healthy baby at my age.

It’s so sad like the other person commented that society puts such limits on when a couple should have children, if a woman was too old at age 40 or older to have children the lord would’ve not made a woman capable of conceiving period at this age. “If you’re religious” and if not still the same lol i feel like there is not one thing selfish about wanting to bring more co indeed into the world if your a great parent. Nothing selfish about wanting more kids your age. Nothing at all. Yeah sure you won’t be able to live long with them but it’s the love you have for them and have showed them that matter when you are not with them anymore and that love they hopefully pass on to their children and others. 🥰

I think the medical world and society put restrictions on women and pregnancy after 40. The truth in my opinion is birth defects can happen at any age, we just hope as mothers that it does not. I was 41 with my youngest son, and I am possibly expecting again. I have experienced very negative treatment from the medical staff, so this time around I have chosen to leave medical staff out of it and depend on my higher power. If you really want to have a child over 40, I say do it. You only live once, don't live with any regrets.

Im currently 40 and pregnant with my first baby , it was not planned however its probably the best time in my life that I could gotten pregnant. Thinking of my life 10 years ago I couldnt imagine having a kid im so much more financially and mentally stable and secure people should be supportive of you as long as your healthy thats all that matters

I’m 41 & pregnant with my third baby. I will be 42 when he or she is born. It’s your body & your baby. No one should have a say except God. If He allows you to get pregnant at this age it’s His blessing. You can do it!
