Would you give him a chance

I went to a car service center and I met someone there. He told me he would be a personal mechanic for me (which is the good part because I was looking for a personal mechanic) and I could pay a lower price or I can get things free if I date him. He got my number and asked me to come see him at a coffee shop. When we started talking he was telling me about how he just got out of jail and he was on probation because he robbed someone, he’s 33 I’m 22 and he has a daughter, he was also telling me about how his boss was on his ass and he wanted to make his own hours and charge his own prices. He was also asking me out about wanting to date me and how our “relationship” could be better. When I told him my race he told me I might not want to tell people because people may not like me after. He also showed me how his cop friend gave him a card for his wallet if he gets pulled over. During the meeting at the coffee shop he told me how he was reading my body language and messages of how I seemed “insecure” and how I would be difficult for him to get to know me. He seems like a gentleman and is opened minded but something felt off a bit and it worries me because who knows his knowledge about cars, and if he may be a stalker/abuser if we got into a relationship. It also seems like he was love bombing me.
