C section scar-is this normal?

Has anyone had a c section scar look like this? Bit worried it shouldn’t be like this! Will it stay raised and sore?

Answer

The raised section is due to the closing technique of your doctor. It is raised together so that when it heals it will fall flat. Whereas if you close flat it can sink inward. This will even out over time. 
If you have any concerns speak with your Dr but this looks completely normal and I’ve seen many healing incisions in our practice

I’ve had 2, my third will be Friday and you can’t see mine at all, it’s not raised it’s like normal skin and normal color just looks like a pencil line. I would maybe mention the redness and soreness to your OB. How long has it been since your surgery?

The raised part that is because of genetics it depends on the the person on how the scar will heal, but the sore part you could probably go into your OB and get checked out
