2.5 year old co-sleeping
Hey mamas i really need your help.
My son was sleeping really good through the night fir a good 6 months after he turned 2. It wasn’t a perfect bedtime routine but he slept good.
Backstory: in the month of Dec 2024 for his evening nap his dad was around and as my toddler didn’t want to sleep my husband said”the dog will come” and he got scared and went to him and slept. I told him every time its nit good to scare him but he didn’t listen. It went on for a week maybe 10 days, he was still sleeping through the night and napping in the evening. He didn’t get scared of dogs in general and still isn’t scared.
During the new year he saw a little firework from his bedroom and got scared. We didn’t let him see it anymore but told its not scary.
Since the night of 1 Jan, he woke up multiple times a night. (I’m a SAHM, and got really sleepy this winter) and i brought him to our bed. Since then he wakes up multiple times if he’s in his crib. He slept through the night maybe two times only. He also wouldn’t call me when he woke up which he did for months. But now he does call me most of the times.
He got very attached to his dad, sleeping with his dad. My husband has to put him to sleep.
I know it could be:
1- separation anxiety
2- molar teeth (one molar is already out since january)
3- sleep regression (always the worst and goes on for a month)
I don’t have insurance at the moment to take him to a doctor.
Any suggestions what i should do?
