Anesthesia and ovulation?

Question

I have been very regular with my OPKs for the last 6 months, always having a surge between cd 14 and cd 15. Well, I was put under general anesthesia for a septoplasty on CD 11 and since my OPKs have been all over the place. I will continue to test but I’m just curious if anyone has had a similar experience and did you just not surge that month or was everything pushed back? Thanks!

Some studies suggest that it might temporarily affect hormone levels, potentially delaying ovulation or affecting ovarian function but should resolve quickly

Surgery can definitely cause stress and you'll most likely ovulate a little later than normal. It's not the anesthesia it's the stress of surgery and being put under in general.
