NIPT testing timeline?

I’m not going to see my OB til I’m 13 weeks. I’m 10.5 now. Should I see if I can get in for NIPT bloodwork before then? Or is 13 weeks fine if I went to the lab the same day as my appt? What would you do?

My first ultrasound was at 7.5 weeks to confirm pregnancy. My second At 12 weeks.

I believe NIPT testing has to be done after 10 weeks. I would do it early if you want that first chromosomal test. It’s an easy quick blood draw they were able to fit me in within a couple of days of asking. A bonus is you can get the gender too if you want. I did NIPT testing at 10 weeks 2 days and have my second ultrasound today at 12 weeks 1 day. My test results came back within a week and so far low risk for chromosomal abnormalities for my sweet baby girl. 💗

the lab? 
your first doctors appointment and ultrasound you should be able to get blood work that same day. All they do is take your blood and you get the results back within a week. You just have to be at least eight weeks.￼  I did my last pregnancy testing at nine weeks and it was a boy and I did this one at 11 weeks and it’s a girl. it’s all 100% accurate. I wouldn’t go to sneak peek or anything like that because those aren’t 100%.
