How often should couple who are dating talk.

Hi there!

So I’ve been seeing this guy for just over a month now. Since we’ve started the talk into dating phase we pretty much talk daily. Lately we still talk daily but not as much because he’s been busy. I want to note he was laid off and not working right now but he owns his house and has been doing more home improvement/ hobby stuff. I understand he’s use to working so he might be trying to compensate for that. Anywho, we talked Monday and he told me he had dinner with his family yesterday for his mom’s b-day. So we didn’t talk at all yesterday and about half the day passed today and still nothing (I was the last person to text). I guess I’m struggling because I feel like he can’t be that busy to not send a “sorry going to have a busy day” text but we are still very fresh and I don’t want to feel like I’m putting to high of expectations on him for where we are at. So I guess I’m just wondering if it’s worth addressing with him. Also to be fair HE was the one in the beginning who said we should let each other know if we are going to be busy. What do you think? Am I overreacting?
