Oh no no no please don’t. Dusty is more of a boy or a dog name and can also be used to insult someone in a form of sentence even more so if you use it as a girls name. For instance Dusty hag would mean a dirty old person or someone who you wouldn’t be seen with is what we use for a phase. Also look at it this way in years down the line when your child is going for a job interview, meeting new people or having to sign a official doc and has to say/use my name is Dusty..

My husband has a cousin named Dusty and she is so beautiful and wonderful and never complains about her name. She is from the West (US)- I think it’s a bit of a western/cowgirl name
