does ovulation test show hcg ?

I was pregnant with ectopic lost a tube and pregnant a year later in the other tube but they saved it. I always got a high lh when I had
A positive hcg test. This is high for what my lh normally is. Suppose to start period yesterday. Should I test?

What happens is that the opk mistakes HCG for LH and turns positive. If that's the case though you'd also have a positive pregnancy test. Opks won't pick up HCG before an HCG test either so there is really no need to use opks instead of HCG tests. Your test is negative though so it's normal and doesn't mean anything.

HCG and LH do share a common component, and OPK’s may not be able to differentiate between the two, so yeah, it’s possible to have a positive OPK during pregnancy. If your period was due yesterday, and you track ovulation via another method than the app, then a pregnancy test should yield accurate results. This is negative though and LH is always present in fluctuating levels and usually temporarily surges again during the LP, which is one of the reasons why it’s not recommended to use them during that time of your cycle. I would test if you’re late,  but not necessarily because of this result. Good luck!

I was curious when I had my positive pregnancy test what a ovulation test would look like and the ovulation test was a darker line than my pregnancy test. I don’t really know the logic behind it but yep i definitely had a positive ovulation test when pregnant🤍

LH test just pick up HCG so if you have a positive LH test due to pregnancy then you would also have a positive pregnancy test
