FIC in cats. Anyone else’s kitty?

Just wondering if anyone else has struggled with this with their kitties! We don’t know for sure yet but the vet speculates it. 
Back in January our girl was in and out of the litter box and only peeing a tiny amount. No bacteria was in her urine though and ultrasound and xray were totally fine as well. Gave her an antibiotic shot and gabapentin - up within a couple of days she was back to normal again. 
Ffwd to this weekend she repeated the same thing and again everything checks out fine today at the vet so he’s thinking possibly feline cystitis. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this and what have you done to help? Obviously vet will go through everything when we go back for a check up in a couple weeks or Saturday if she hasn’t shown improvement with the antibiotic shot + gabapentin.

Idk what FIC is but when my cat frequented the litter box like that it was a UTI. A few months later it happened again and they found crystals so he had to have a prescription food for that. When it happened AGAIN he was blocked entirely which is a life or death emergency, as the bladder can rupture if it’s not treated immediately. So they unblocked him but his catheter cut off circulation to his genitalia for too long and he had to have his willy removed and they made him a new pee hole under his butthole.
