Best bag to use for hospital bag?

I’m 36 weeks tomorrow so gathered I should probably get my arse in gear and pack my hospital bag. Is a cabin bag ok to use or would you suggest something else?

First time mum too but I have a friend and SIL who have 2 kids. They’ve said to take a bag for yourself and a bag for the baby. The biggest one is thick maternity pads for you and nappies (whatever amount you think is right - double it so I’ve been told). Comfy and loose clothes/pjs for in the hospital because let’s face it those hospitals operate at sub-tropical temperatures. 
Usually you’d only be in for 1 maybe 2 days with a vaginal delivery but could be longer for a Caesarean. 
Pack whatever you think is right for you and if you need more or have to stay longer ask someone to get stuff for you.

I had my first baby in March and I used a cabin bag, it was good because you didn’t have to rifle through to find stuff. I also put things in small labelled bags so that my husband could easily locate things

I used a little suitcase, was a cabin sized bag. Did half for baby half for me

I used a hand luggage sized case with my first and it was perfect - doing the same this time :)

With my first baby.. I didn't take enough and with my second.. I took way too much.

That’s all I plan to use keep it simple and on wheels and feel like never need as much as you actually take
