I'd take the risk to rule out a pulmonary embolism. According to what I can find from ACOG (idk if you're US based, if not it's the American college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) the radiation dose with CT is much lower than doses shown to cause fetal harm. Additionally, they're looking at your chest, so the radiation exposure to the baby is even less. The risks of pulmonary embolism run up to death which would obviously not be ideal for you or the baby. I'm not saying that to try to be snarky, pregnancy already puts you at increased risk of clots, accurate diagnosis and timely treatment of a PE is in you and the baby's best interest. This is not medical advice and you should follow the advice given to you by your provider, as they know your specific situation best. I urge you to speak with your care team and have them help you arrive at the best decision for you.
Clots in pregnancy
Hi all. I’ve had symptoms on clot on lung and raised d-dimer blood result. I’m 23 weeks. Doctor wanted to do CT scan but at moment I’ve refused. Has anyone had to have one I don’t know what to do because of some risks
