Do you still have an Imaginary bf/husband

Since I was like 14/15 years old I’ve always imagined this guy I’ve never met in real life. I’ve imagined what he looks like, what he does, how much he loves me and all the drama that surrounds us but we always end up together and happy 😃.
Sometimes when I can’t sleep, had a bad day/great day I think about him and how he would be there for me. Now I’m 29  and in a healthy relationship but I’ve never really stopped thinking about this person.
Does anyone have similar experiences or what do you make of this 🤔🌝

I can’t say that I have lol have you ever talked to anyone such as a therapist about it to see if there’s an underlying reason as to why you still hold onto that imaginary person?

Yep. This is called maladaptive daydreaming and common in people with autism. I’m autistic, I have two men I’ve daydreamed of since I was very young. Damon and Christopher. They’re both different, but both comfortable to daydream about.

I did this when I was younger and a teen. Now that I’m married a lot of my day dreams have turned into horrible tragedies because I’m scared of losing my loved ones 😅

I meant to say no. I used to imagine my wedding day, but the guy was faceless. I got married for real in my mid thirties.

No, and I don’t recall having imaginary friends as a child either. I mean I know some people do but my parents never mentioned me having one
