Bleeding at 5 weeks

Anyone else experience bleeding in early pregnancy? Been pink spotting for about 7 days, hcg line progressing well. The spotting then turned a bit more red/brown, hcg test still getting darker. I went to A&E and they confirmed the pregnancy and everything seemed normal, no scan was done because it’s too early and they saw no reason to attempt to look for anything. I was asked to get plenty of rest the next few days. Later that evening I had some more red bleeding as a one off and then continued as light pink. Is it normal? I am so scared to loose this baby and just want to know if others have had something similar and had healthy babies.
