How long does it take birth control to start working?

My last period was on the 8th of march and I stated birth control. I’m like on the start of week two like the second pill on week two and tomorrow it would be the third pill on week three. I did it raw on the 18th and he didn’t cum in me. I take it around the same time too. Would I be safe? I really doubt I’d get pregnant.but just to make sure

If u started the birth control within the first few days of being on ur period then it’s effective immediately. Otherwise, it takes a full week to be effective.
