Underage SleepOvers

So long story short, I (we) have decided now that our daughter is 3.5 (aware bad things can happen at any and all ages) to discontinue over nights/ sleep overs that do not include her parents. I have been through my own uncomfortable situations, and will prevent my daughter from similar situations if so can help it. Being that there are close family/friends that I have previously allowed her to have sleep overs with, is it unfair of me to make this change… especially to those that I know would never harm her? How to I express this without offending anyone. As exhausting as it can be to not have a break, lm sticking to it.

Any other parents make this decision?
