Virtual counseling, does it exist?
Im in desperate need of counseling but i have limited time and travel a lot. Id heard about 7 years ago that there was virtual online counseling through militaryone source, i think, but where is the resource for that or has anyone actually had direct experience with it? If anyone here wants to chat and help.me with my struggles i am very open to that too. Im experiencing anxiety I've not had before, chest pain (already been to ER and Dr for follow.up), my husband has been deployed but is returning but i have caught him in lots of lies from alcohol poisoning to long term alcohol abuse and sneaky investment deals and stupid little lies like when he is returning and when he is pcsing. I also found out he is no longer promotable for his last 6 years of 20 years but hes trying to tell me its his bosses fault because he claims they told him he has reached his "full potential". They told him this when he had only been a Major for 3 years and 7 months. I was prior military back in the 90's and my background is also criminal justice investigations so I've found red flags and lies in his " story". Then there is my 19 yr old daughter, lying, smoking pot but also smoking it IN our home and IN my mothers car that was temporarily LOANED to her till her jobs were enough to buy her own. Before you people defend the marijuana, my son and mother both are anaphylaxis allergic to marijuana and it makes me really sick at any exposure level. My son now has an epi pen his allergy is so severe. Now shes been fired from all 3 jobs because she chose not to show to go party but is lying to me that its not her fault and such. Then there is my 15 year old son who is in his 2nd year as a freshman in online high school but is failing again and not doing the school work, again and may not even pass this year again. I get he wants to be in person school but everytime he even walks by someone that has.smoked.or vaped pot and its just on their clothes, he ends up in a medical episode. So in person school , especially high school , is literally not an option. I still have a 17 and 9 and 4 year old at home too. It's a lot to handle and i thought i was doing okay but my body is saying otherwise. Im 46 1/2 yrs old and have asked if unbalanced hormones are a factor or my thyroid but my dr just labs and says normal and.sends me off. Ive preliminarily read that very early perimenopause can create a hormone imbalance that directly affects stress and anxiety but if my dr wont listen to me and check my levels how will i know. Yes i know i need mental health at this point to but i need the resources to get there. Thank you to anyone that read to this point. God bless
