Really Need Someone To Talk Too

Need some advice, I was talking to this one guy for almost a whole year. I was attracted to him and his personality when him and I first met. He always made me feel like him and I had something special between us. He didn't have much of everything in his life. However, he did work (2 jobs), have his own car, as far as having his own place. That's something he did not have. He was living with his mother and "No" we never live together. I never judge him for not having much but I was always there to help him if he needed my help. Once he started to ask for things "money". I would give it too him until I gotten tired of it because he would ask for money alot and I mean alot. To help him and his 2 kids. Once I started to say "No" he would text me and say. He doesn't see this working out and I should move on. He wasted no time to move on. He met a 42 year old woman months later and ended up marrying her outta nowhere but he wanted us to remain good friends. I told him "No" on the friends part. It hurts because you do so much for a guy and they don't appreciate it and everything wanted to have for that guy. They give it all to someone else "smh" I beginning to feel like it was just a use thing between us. What you ladies say?......Please no rude comments
