Anyone else's SO do this?
To start with, we live with his parents in a big house. We have plans to move end of this year/next year time. We have space, we have a shed. We do not however have an extra room for another child. So we have friends whom end last year timeframes have had babies and they have outgrown a lot of their items. Some brand new, never used, and some barely used. Useful items for a newborn, like carseat, or like a breast pump for me. Clothes are useful. My mother comes over often and brings by clothes she purchased because she's excited. Well everytime I say one of my friends has some more baby items we can have fhat she no longer needs and his response is never asking me what it is but he says this "why, where are we gonna put it?!" But its with EVERYTHING! We arent strapped for money or anything, we are doing really well. But even when I purchased an outfit myself for the baby, he will roll his eyes like its unnecessary. I've bought a total of 6 outfits and 4 books for this kid and nothing else. Hes excited to have another child btw, so ita not that hes unhappy about having one. He wants more. But I just dont understand??? Im not being gifted any useless items. Ive had a kid before and I know what they need and whats not important. Is it pride?? Being gifted baby stuff and he thinks hes being treated like poor person that cant afford stuff? Heres one example, i have a stroller and carseat combo on my baby registry, my sister in law is buying it for me, he asked me why? Lol cuz we dont have our previous one and thats what people do for others, purchase from their registries....idk...i just needed to get this off my chest cuz earlier he said this shit and i was like why do u always say this???? And he said nothing after that...no response.
