Define “work”. Plenty of people ignore their gut or bad signs and stay together anyway, but is it really working, or are they just…together? I’m betting on the latter.

I started dating this guy that was younger (significantly younger) than me and I thought we will just fool around a few months and that’ll be it. Well a few months came and went. Then I’m like well maybe we can date a year or so. A year came and went. Finally I thought we’d last maybe five years. Well five years came and went. We are going on NINE YEARS together and now I’m thinking “well maybe we will last unto death…..my death”.  Who knew? 🤷🏾‍♀️

No, if something felt unnatural then I would have left. Things thats aren’t meant to work will not work unless they are forced. Forced things end up in a state of misery and resentment.
