Idk what to do with my servant stairs

Bought a house and didn’t know these were servant stairs until someone told me. Obvi the history is terrible but the stairs have little flowers painted on them and you can see some indents from walking. The stairs are still structurally good im just not sure what to do with them. I don’t want to be another white lady who is like oh we kept the stairs as is cause it holds history and the flowers were pretty even tho slavery was really bad. Idk should I just gut it and fresh start?
