At-home portable ultrasound machine?

Hello ladies, It's my first viable pregnancy, I'm 16 weeks, had several early-stage miscarriages and tend to worry a lot. Everything is new to me, I've mever gotten this far, I don't have anyone to talk to, and I'm very sensitive to every little physical sensation.

I was wondering if any of you have at-home portable ultrasound machines, if it's something safe, if it could reassure me in-between my ob-gyn consultations and if so, if anyone could recommend brands and models.

I've seen on the Internet that some machines allow you to hear the baby's heart, or some could even show you imagery on a screen or your smartphone.

But I don't know if it's authorized to have one, if it's safe, or if they are even commercialized to the public.

You can buy a fetal doppler off of amazon. I don't think they make in home sonography machines, but some doctors do warn that you shouldn't get more ultrasounds than medically necessary.  Consult with your obgyn at your next appointment about that, but in the meanwhile a fetal doppler should be fine.

Dopplers are fine. A sonogram machine if you found one, would cost you a small fortune and shouldn't ever be done unless you're a certified sonographer. We used the sonoline b doppler.

I used a fetal Doppler to calm my nerves. My doctor said that was fine. I haven't seen any home ultrasound things though.

I bought a fetal Doppler off a bst page on fb for $20 that retails for $150. Started using it at 9 weeks and still use it very randomly now at 32. I struggled with infertility for years and got pregnant through ivf after a couple losses so it has put my mind at ease more times than I can count. Definitely recommend getting one! Little tip if you do though, be patient (you won't always find the heartbeat quickly and sometimes not at all) & YouTube how to use it properly and easily find heart beat. You can make yourself crazy sometimes!

You should avoid having more ultrasounds than necessary as they have never been proven to be 100% harmless to the baby. Could you perhaps see the doctor to listen to the heartbeat every other week?
