So had an appointment yesterday and my cervix was measuring 2.99cm at 18 weeks. In my last two previous pregnancies I had a cerclage put in place but it was only as a result of guessing I had a incompetent cervix due to my first delivery occurring at 32 weeks (anatomically once delivered they put babies gestational age closer to 37 weeks). The 2.99cm is slightly shorter than what dr would like which average is closer to 4cm but not in the "danger zone". Have another appointment in 4 weeks to recheck my cervix to see how much it's shortened at that point and might have to go ahead and get the cerclage. I was hoping to avoid it this time 😞
