I’m a wreck and can’t find any decent answer or information on this.

I had the sequential testing done (ultrasound, two blood tests) and they came back positive for Spina bifida. Im aware the test doesn’t mean my baby has it, but I’m still very scared. I’m currently 18 weeks. They told me my anatomy scan has to be with a specialist, and im getting the materniT21 test. I’m currently waiting for them to call. Unfortunately my doctor has been on deliveries all day and I can’t talk to her directly.

What are the chances of a false positive? Can I have any hope that everything is okay? Anyone have experience going through this?

*updated I guess my AFP level was 2.95 which is under the 3 threshold? So the additional testing is just a precaution.
