40+1, no sign of labor, 3cm and 60% effaced

I am 40 weeks and I have been having Braxton hicks, cramping, contractions and lightening crotch for weeks. I had a membrane sweep done at 39+4 and the doctor was amazed I was not already in labor because I was 3cm dilated, 60% effaced and my cervix is in a prime position. This is my second pregnancy and since i had the sweep all of my symptoms have disappeared. Absolutely no cramping or contractions. I am scheduled to be induced tomorrow but would love to go into labor naturally. Anyone else experience this? I also lost my mucus plug after the sweep
