My parents don't think I am ready to move out yet but I want to move out. What should I do?

I am 27 and high functioning autistic. I want to move out on my own and my parents think that I am not mature enough and don't have the skills to move out yet when I think I am ready. What should I do about my parents using my autism as an excuse for me to not be ready to move out yet?

You just have to do it, if thats what you want. You dont need their permission.

Well regardless of what they think or whether you’re autistic or not, there are basic, general skills necessary for living alone. If you have all those basic skills and are financially independent then it doesn’t really matter what your parents say or anyone else. It’s simply down to you, you don’t need permission

Do your parents have actual reasons to feel this way, like you are always broke or something like that? Or are they just overly concerned and protective over you? If it's the first I suggest you try to correct what they say you need to learn. And if it's the second one you can only try to reassure them that you are prepared and will be ok.
