Going back to school?
Im considering going back to school. Im finishing a divorce where I gave too much of myself to someone. I overworked myself, which kicked me out of remission for my chronic illness and I had to choose between school and keeping a roof over my head. Since I couldn't do both and he was unemployed for over a year. So I chose my job and money. I should have known then this wouldn't work but he always got his act together right when I was at the end of my rope. So, it took 10 more years and secrets revealed to get me to leave.
Anyway that's all to say I'm starting over at square one. What I'm good at is helping people, and I am a part time caretaker for my grandmother.
What im also good at is corporate writing and communications. I used to write the templates and the mass message letters at one of my old jobs (it was not a job duty, I earned the extra work when they were impressed by my ability to clearly communicate complex messages).
I was considering getting a nursing degree (what I was getting ready to do when I dropped out), but I was thinking of double majoring and also getting a communications or marketing degree?
Im not sure if those two things go together but I figured I could start as a nurse and have upward mobility with my other skills.
I dont know where to get advice on this or if this even sounds feasible. I feel strange doing this at almost thirty instead of 10 years ago when I should have just kicked that man out of my house and out of my life, but here we are.
Any advice?
