Business partner effecting our profits
My friend and I own a hair salon. We have our own clients but use the same products as far as sales go. All product purchases go towards our business.
Recently my friend joined an MLM that sells salon products. She wanted me to join but I am not a fan. It would mean that if my client wanted this specific shampoo they would have to make an account online, put me as the referral, and sign up for a monthly subscription. It just doesn’t settle well with me. So at first it didn’t bother me if she wanted to have her own side hustle.
Well I definitely didn’t think it through. At the end of March we went through our profits and loss and it turns out that our product sales were down $1,700 in March. My business partner took the blame and said it is because she isn’t selling our products as much anymore, she is now pushing this MLM to her clients.
I’m a little frustrated because that means she gets to pocket all those profits from her MLM sales and it isn’t going back to the business 🤔
Do I let it go and let her do her own thing with this MLM? Or should I say something?
