How did you lose the weight?

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and just came back from the doctor. I already gained 31 pounds omg! How did you guys lose the weight after baby was born? Did breastfeeding help or hinder your weight loss?

Your body does amazing things! Breastfeeding definitely helps with loss, but don't assume that you can't have an amazing body after pregnancy. I've had 2 kids already, and I was in the best shape of my life before I got pregnant with this one, my third. With hard work you can transform your body! I have already signed up for the warrior dash in August as my goal for after baby training! The picture below is my progress of 5 months of beach body workouts at home in my basement. I can't wait to start again!!

One thing breastfeeding definitely DOES help with is your uterus shrinking back down so you stop looking pregnant still and stop bleeding sooner. I would do it even if I thought it hindered weight loss though. It's more than worth it, for your own health, your babies health and the $$$$ you will save not buying formula and bottles etc!

I lost 25 just by having the baby and another 10 or so over the next few months without really trying. I did breastfeed, and tried to eat healthy but didn't skimp on anything really. 30-40 lbs really isn't much to worry about. Most of it will be gone in a day :)

My experience was totally different. Breastfeeding stalled my progress. I lost a total of 12 pounds while I nursed for 8 months and then the year after I stopped nursing I dropped over 60 pounds with exercise and low carb dieting. I have PCOS so low carb is the best way for me but you can find something else works for you.

I gained 39 so far at 32 😂😭 if you breast feed that so totally helps, but seriously most of it comes off after labor for me anyway. You just need to drink lots of water and kind of watch what you eat. Light excersize when your 6 weeks or so is up. It comes off girl don't worry! Just grow that baby! Also, don't expect your body to ever look the same as it did before. You may end up weighing the same as prepregnancy and the same clothes, but it doesn't ever look exactly the same anymore. ❤️
