Xulane patch

What’s are your experiences with the xulane patch?

I’m been on the combo pill for 5 months and I’ve had the worst side effects. I bleed very heavy every 2wks during my active pills. And I threw up at the end of my unexpected period last week, and I never throw up (I take the pill every day, use condoms, and pull out, plus the periods have been SO heavy I doubt I’m pregnant). I also HATE swallowing pills, I know they’re tiny I just hate it.

I tried the Xulane patch as my first form of birth control when I was 16, and it worked great until it didn’t. On my patch change days I felt really sick, one day I just ripped it off and never used it again. But I’m 20 now, I’m older, and my body is more adjusted to synthetic hormones. The bad with the patch was so bad, but the good with the patch was so good, which is why I’m considering it again.

What are your personal experiences? Is there anything I could do to help the nausea on change days if I decide to try the patch again?
