Does castor oil have same effect as pitocin

I’ve been induced before as well as taken castor oil to jumpstart labor. I know the pros and cons of taking castor oil .. its been yearsss and I don’t really remember the experiences of either. So they say being induced causes the contractions to be a lot worse, does that apply to castor oil too? My dr wants me to schedule induction date but I really don’t want to be induced for one of the reasons being increased pain. So I was gonna schedule a date but just take castor oil (along with other things to get labor started) the day before so it could kinda happen “on its own” . If that makes since. But I’m not sure if castor oil would have the same effect since it’s still starting labor. Or is it specifically the pitocin that causes it. (I know every pregnancy is different and castor oil may not even work this time & I do already know the risks)
