Ivf help

My husband and I have had no luck conceiving on our own for the past 5 years. We reached out and just finished all the testing with the ivf center and we have our appointment to get the overall results of all testing in a few days. I do know from the hsg only one of my tubes are open. We would rather just go the ivf route but Im borderline diabetic and overweight at the moment. Will that hinder starting the process? For now , I’m ok with just having my eggs fertilized, frozen and then finish off the process once I lose a little more weight. Has anyone ever did that before? I’m going to ask all these questions at my appointment but I would just like to know others experience with this. I would have waited to start the process until after I lose a little more weight, but my insurance that I have through my job covers this whole thing, and I’m not sure if I want to stay at that job much longer.
